There were no fanfares there were no flags
No fireworks dear or marching bands
No neon lights love all shining bright
No ten foot letters up in the sky
But something happened, I don’t know why
If you’re looking for another lovex2
Here’s mine
We were just passing along the road
But nothing lasts love that much I know
Time goes so quickly it’s here and gone
You’ll find your heart love, keeps moving on
But something happened, I don’t know why
If you’re looking for another lovex2
Here’s mine
I don’t wanna change a single moment
I don’t wanna change a single day
I just want the chance to get to know you
I just want your love to pass my way
But something happened, I don’t know why
If you’re looking for another lovex2
Here’s mine

What Did I Do?
03:24
|
|||
You don’t even know my name
But you tell me I’m too blame
The headlines make it clear
That you don’t want me here
What did I do?
What did I do to you?
What did I do?
What did I do to you?
So you wrap yourself in flags
And good times you never had
But there’s no fooling me
You’re as frightened as can be
CHORUS
You and I are linked
You can’t escape it
If we don’t work it out
We’re not gonna make it

Let The Poets Go Free
02:50

He’s a dangerous man with words in his hand
And he’s not afraid to use them
She’s a singer in a band, but she can’t understand
Why she can’t sing the blues then
Take away – my liberty
Take away – a part of me
Let the poets go, let the poets go free
The leader in grey locked them away
Coz he knows ideas are dangerous
His statues look down all over town
But the people still they sneer at us
CHORUS
Little children will learn
All the books that you burned
Coz the leader knows better
You can’t change, you can’t change the weather
He’s a dangerous man with words in his hand
And he’s not afraid to use them
She’s a singer in a band, but she can’t understand
Why she can’t sing the blues then

On The Corner
03:13
|
|||
We could meet
On the street
In between
All the things we’ve seen
It’s where the lovers meet
Sometimes indiscreet
And share a kiss
Amongst all this
And there’s music coming from open windows
And there’s Julies and there’s Johns and I told you sos
On the corner x4
Choose a time
And I’ll choose mine
To run away
And start again
It’s where the lovers fight
Almost every night
It has to start somewhere
And all life is here
CHORUS
We’re not so different after all
We all need something that is
Worth fighting for
And I know the score
